Things to Do in London For Children

Some London activities for children to keep them entertained this half term

London Zoo – Regents Park
This is an excellent family day out for all ages. Its focus is on education and has a long term breeding plan of over 130 species.  There is plenty to do that is free when you are inside.   Where to stay? J&K Apartments recommend Sanctum International Apartments.

The British Museum – Russell Square
The British Museum opened in 1753 and has prided itself on remaining free ever since! There is so much to see that it would take over a week to get round everything.  Kids love the Egyptian mummies and Easter Island statue.  Where to stay? J&K Apartments recommend The Rosebery.
Queensway Ice rink and Bowling – 17 Queensway, Bayswater

Everything that a teenager could wish for! A huge ice rink, a bowling alley, plenty of arcade games and machines and a pizza restaurant!  The bowling is really popular so we recommend that you book in advance.  Where to stay? J&K Apartments recommend The Leonard Hotel and Apartments.
Royal Botanical Gardens, Kew

Kew Gardens has 121 hectares of beautiful botanical gardens and glasshouses between Richmond and Kew.  It is great for children with an indoor play area, a treetop walkway, children’s trails, an aquarium and a giant badger set.  There is so much to keep the children entertained.  There are also free guided walks available daily between 11am and 2pm.  Where to stay?  J&K Apartments recommend Kew Gardens Road.

London Trocadero, Picadilly
Located in the heart of the West End, the London Trocadero is a grand centre of leisure, entertainment and shopping.  Since the late 1700′s it earned its reputation as a famous landmark attracting many tourists.  An extremely vibrant place with endless cafe’s, shops, arcade games, bumper cars and many more amusements.  Where to stay?  J&K Apartments recommend Arlington House Apartments.

Hyde Park Stables, 63 Bathurst Mews
Hyde Park Stables offer horse riding in Central London in the five miles of bridleways in London’s Hyde Park. It is the most beautiful setting beside the Serpentine Lake.  They also have two outdoor arenas for more formal riding and dressage.  The stables cater for riders of all abilities and previous experience is not necessary.  Where to stay? J&K Apartments recommend 130 Queensgate
